Welcome to the Children's Wing!

The Children’s Ministry of South Shore Baptist Church exists to partner with parents, helping kids to KNOW Jesus personally, GROW in their faith, and SHOW God’s love in their homes, schools, and communities.

Here's what you need to know:

To provide a safe environment, we use an electronic check-in system that provides children with a name tag and parents with a matching tag to ensure safe pick-up. Pagers are also available.

The Children's Wing is a nut-free environment. We provide snacks that are nut-free, but please let us know of any other allergies.

We are happy to work with families with children with special needs! We offer 1-on-1 assistants, and if more accommodations are needed, please let us know.

All of SSBC's volunteers working with children have completed a background check and are fully trained to serve.

Parents are asked to register their children in advance of attending our programs. This registration serves as a permission form, medical release, and helps us to anticipate our volunteer needs. We have a form for visitors and for our regular attenders.

During our Worship Service

Nursery for infants to age 3: Childcare is available for our youngest church-goers. We have an infant/toddler room for babies and one-year-olds and a 2's/3's class that includes a Bible story, a craft, and a snack. Check in and drop off prior to the service.

Preschool Children's Church: Check into the Children's Wing before the service. Children are dismissed prior to the sermon. Our preschoolers enjoy a Bible lesson, a craft, a snack, and some playtime.

Elementary Children's Church (K-5th Grade): Check into the Children's Wing before the service. Children are dismissed prior to the sermon. Children's Church consists of worship, a Bible lesson, and an activity. They will also enjoy a snack and fellowship with games and/or a craft.

Children's Choir: The Children's Choir of South Shore Baptist Church meets during Children’s Church throughout the year.  It provides students with an opportunity to sing to the Lord and for His glory in a choir setting. Students will experience singing in a group together for the simple joy of it and as an expression of worship. The Children’s Choir will also sing as a choir in a worship service where the intentions are to exalt Christ and edify the body of Christ within the weekly worship gathering.
