This is the best place to keep informed about what's happening during the summer. If you aren't receiving YG Parents Newsletters, please fill out this form or contact the church office to get onto our distribution list. You can also sign up to receive text-message announcements by following instructions in the image below.
Meet at the church parking lot by 3:00. Each team will receive instructions before hitting the road in your team's vehicle. At each stop sign or red light, you'll roll a die to determine if you should continue straight or turn left/right. When time has run out, you'll take a group picture wherever you're at, reset the odometer and take the quickest way back to church. Whichever team travels the farthest from SSBC wins.
In this event, your family is your team. Students whose family cannot particpate can still register to join an adoptive family with one of our youth leaders... no one will be left out so long as you register ahead of time, wear a mask and have a signed parental permission form when you arrive. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to serve food, so please provide your own refreshments.
Whether you are an individual or a family, please REGISTER HERE ahead of time so we can be sure to have enough adoptive parents available for those carloads.
6th Graders: Welcome to Youth Group on July 12
We are so excited that you're joining Youth Group. On July 12, from 7:00-8:00pm, join us for this Zoom call to play some games, hear about what you should expect from Youth Group, and get to know your new youth leaders. Zoom details coming soon.
Small Group Firepits
This is a simple and unstructured way for our small groups to share fellowship and pray together. If you're willing to host a firepit gathering at your house, please contact Pastor Mike. Since these are casual times of fellowship, they don't follow a regular schedule, please contact your small group leader with any questions.
Starland is open!
We're still working out details and restrictions to ensure we can have fun together while staying safe in the midst of these ever-changing regulations. We'll post an update when we have one.
Photo Scavenger Hunt
We don't have a date for this yet, but we've started putting together a photo scavenger hunt that you'll be able to do from wherever you live, post it to social media with a unique hashtag. If you don't have social media, you can register for the Scavenger Hunt and you'll receive the link to a folder in the cloud where you can upload your pictures and they'll be shared on the youth group's Instagram account. Stay tuned...
