Respite Events for Families of Children with Special Needs (and their siblings)
Interested in serving together with others and meeting the needs of families who have children with special needs? rEcess is a respite program offered once a month. We provide 4 hours of childcare filled with fun activities so that parents can have time for themselves. This is an INCREDIBLE opportunity to serve! Volunteers arrive at 1 PM, families at 2 PM, and the day ends at 6 PM.
UPCOMING DATES: TBD
If you know of a family who could use this program or if you would like information on training or volunteering, please contact GraceWorks. (The church office will help you contact GraceWorks.)

Volunteer for rEcess
We need many types of volunteers: medical personnel, EMTs, physical or occupational therapists, personal care attendants and “just regular folks” who love to serve the Lord. Although many jobs are with the children, we can also use help planning the monthly program activities, set-up help, registration, “floaters” to give workers a break and more! We offer training, and you can come observe a rEcess event to get a feel for it.
See the attached fact sheet to learn more about the rEcess program and how to enroll as a volunteer or attend as a family.
For more info, you can visit the rEcess website or you can contact Louise Villani. (The church office can give you Louise's contact information.)
