Missions Conference

The Missions Committee at SSBC creates the missions budget for the coming year (Jan.-Dec.) based on Missions Faith Promises made by you, church members. Please ask God to guide you to the amount that He wants to provide through you in the coming year. These funds enable our mission partners to do gospel work around the world.

Please make your Faith Promise Commitment by November 29. This will help the Missions Committee be able to pass a budget and distribute funds to our mission partners in a timely manner. Use this FAITH PROMISE FORM or the card you'll find at church or in the mail.

Worldview Wednesdays

OCTOBER 14, 21, 28 from 7:00-8:30 PM

Worldviews matter. As Christians, when we think about the way we view the world, we begin with Scripture, and all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ. Yet people around the world have radically different worldviews. We need to understand these worldviews to minister to those from various religions, cultures, and countries.

Someone from New England might say, "I don't necessarily believe in one flavor of Christianity" or perhaps, "There are many paths to God." A devout Muslim might say, "Jesus was a great prophet but not the Son of God." How do we engage each one? How do we proclaim Christ to people with such differing starting point? Come hear missionaries speak on the centrality of Christ in a post-Christian context.

OCTOBER 14: Ralph and Sandra Thompson, Cambodian members, music

OCTOBER 21: Dave Comeau, Mike McGarry, special music

OCTOBER 28: Bo and Michele Columbine, missionaries working with a unreached people group, music

And we'll have a few extra guests via video and music each night.

On Sunday, October 25, Erik Raymond will be coming to preach on Colossians 1 for our annual Missions Sunday!
