You are invited to Miracle on Main St, a family Christmas event hosted by South Shore Baptist Church. Included is an interactive Live Nativity featuring a Bethlehem Marketplace, shepherds, and of course, Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. There will also be a petting zoo, face painting, crafts, a food truck, and a photo booth.

Let's step back in time... but take the food truck with us.

See the shepherds on their way to see baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Talk with the town's shopkeepers, go past the inn (there is no room, sorry!), and visit the humble stable where Jesus was born. Then, warm up with a hot meal!

Spread some Christmas cheer!

Miracle on Main St. has no entry fee, but we strongly encourage donations of non-perishable items, which we will collect and give to the Hingham Food Pantry. Let's spread some Christmas cheer to everyone benefiting from the food pantry's dedicated work!

Create lasting memories!

Pictures are encouraged - so much so that we'll have a photo booth available! Make sure to check it out.

Bring the little town of Bethlehem to life.

Check out the available jobs below and discover your role! Then, sign up to let us know how you will help.

Stable (1 more Joseph needed)

This is the highlight of our event and the last stop on their journey through Bethlehem. Come early to put things in place and choose costumes.

We will provide light and a heat source. Interact with guests, telling them the good news of this baby’s birth.

Shepherds (3-4 needed)

The shepherds will be stationed at the side of the hill on the back part of the parking lot. There will be sheep silhouettes on the hill.

There will be a very bright light over the area representing the angels.

Come early to help set up and choose a costume. Wear comfortable shoes.

Interact with guests, telling them what the angels said and that you are going to see the baby.

Photo Booth Attendant

Arrive early to ensure everything is set up in the lower lobby for our photo booth. Greet guests warmly. Invite them to have their picture taken.

Parking Attendant

You will receive a vest and a lighted wand for directing people to park in the front of the lot off Free St.

Please arrive by 2:30 PM to set up cones and be ready to greet our guests.

Greeters

We need many friendly faces roaming around the campus, helping people as needed throughout the event. Be friendly, welcoming, and ready to help.

Clean-Up Crew
