Supporting Foster Families - Craft Kits
This Christmas season South Shore Baptist Church is partnering with The Forgotten Initiative to encourage foster families on the South Shore. The Forgotten Initiative (TFI) is a faith-based organization that works to support the foster care community, working closely with our local Department of Children and Families. TFI is helping to organize a Christmas giving event on December 4 and we hope to contribute craft kits for them to share with foster families for the kids. We need to collect our portion by December 1 in order to be on time for their party.
WHAT TO DONATE: Craft kits that children can make together.
Here are some options for craft kits.
- Kits are available at local craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or on-line at Oriental Trading or Amazon. (order soon--deadline is Dec. 1)
- OR, make it a family event and create your own craft kit!
Do not wrap the kits as we may combine 2 kits for families with several children. Please place in a bag and drop off at the lobby table at church.
- You may bring a donation (cash or check) to purchase kits at the lobby table. You can see samples of craft kits at church. These are specially made and have video instructions.
Please make your kits or donations by Wednesday, December 1
